When it comes to student societies, executives don’t make all the magic happen – the subcommittee’s existence is irreplaceable.
The subcommittee team’s primary responsibility is extending help and working alongside the executives in a whole range of areas, from event planning to content creation.
Being a subcommittee member is a great way to become involved in the society, especially for first years. The exposure to different tasks and first-hand exposure to the inner workings of the society means greater confidence and persuasion if you ever do decide to run for an executive position one day.
Our subcommittee applications are open to member students from all disciplines, backgrounds and years. They will run twice a year, at the end of the Autumn and Spring semesters.
Interested applicant will be asked to submit an application forward, identifying personal strengths and weaknesses, and ultimately, shortlisted members will be asked to attend an interview. View last year’s Subcommittee Application Facebook event page here.
